Have faith in His son, Jesus.

After all, He did send him to die for our sins.  Do your best to have faith in Jesus.  We're all sinners, there's not a damn thing we can do about it.  Just accept that and realize that only through Jesus is there salvation.  Read his word, or read the words of others that recognize this until you get it through your thick skull.  Hear me now, there is no other way to be saved.  You can Hail Mary until you expire, it won't help.  You can keep all 613 laws of the OT, it won't help.  You can not DO anything and be saved. Quit smoking, stop drinking, go to church, tithe your income.  These are all the same mistakes made by the early church members.  There is no other path.  Only Jesus provides us the way to the Father.  That doesn't mean to give up trying to be good.  What it does mean, is that trying to be good won't work.  That is the reason God sent Jesus to die for us.  For thousands of years, the Jewish people learned the hard way that keeping Law is impossible.  However, it did open the door for Jesus to show.  No longer did the Jewish people have to make sacrifices for their sins after his resurrection.  Their problem is now our problem.  We lack the ability to do what is right by God 100 percent of the time.  Have faith in God's son, Jesus.

Idols, Icons and other Gods

Again, we aren't perfect, but this one above all others angers God.  Who is your shepherd? If you think of Apollo, or the sun, or Rah, then you have a problem.  If your shepherd is Jehovah, Yahweh, Allah or any of the other names associated with the One True God, then you are on the right track.  There is only one God that has any power.  Keep that in mind when you look at the icons in your life and everything will be fine.  The hardest time to remember God is when you are having a good time.  The next hardest time to remember God is when you are having a bad time.  Just keep in mind that God is there for you, even in your imperfection.

Cursing

If cursing makes you feel bad then it makes God feel bad.  If it doesn't bother you, it doesn't bother God.

The Point

The gist of what I am trying to convince you is that God Loves You!  Have faith in Jesus, he already took care of everything for us when he died at Calvary.  How do you love God? To the best of your ability and even then, you are forgiven when you don't give it your best.
