What does it take to be a member of Jesus' Church?  What does it take to keep on being a member?  What are the rules?

These and many questions may be asked by you in trying to determine what it takes to belong to the TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS.  It's in our nature to need Law and as much as I downplay Legalism, there are rules to becoming a member of Jesus' Church.

To become a member:

• You must have a human mother.
• You must have a heart beating in your chest.
• You must have faith in Jesus.

To maintain membership:

• Follow the rules for becoming a member.
• Love God, with all your heart, mind and soul.
• Love Neighbor.  Though Jesus did not specify how much to love them.

As a person who associated many years with the Jehovah's Witnesses, I can tell you that they had a good idea but didn't go far enough in implementation.  They, as many do, claim to be based on the TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS.  However, they like all the others, miss out in several areas.  As Darwin Chandler wrote, "show me a law-based religion and I will show you a cult".  The biggest problem I had and the reason I never took the plunge with the Jehovah's Witnesses was the water immersion baptism.  I could not reconcile that idea with John the Baptist’s phrase, “I baptize you with water so that you will give up your sins. But someone more powerful is going to come, and I am not good enough even to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.”  (Matthew 3:11 CEV)  Well, Jesus came.  We don’t get baptized with water anymore, we get bathed in the Holy Spirit.
