We as members of Jesus' Church believe in and agree
on several key issues. Some of our beliefs coincide with, while
others clash with, fundamentalist Christianity. We do not reject
every faith as many do, instead we realize that humans have several
paths to Heaven.
Doctrinal Sources
- We believe the many books of the Bible
to be inspired by the Creator.
- We believe the Creator preserved many additional sources for our
benefit.
- We believe many other works are also
inspired by God.
- We believe that all sources are reliable to the
extent that the translations are correct and unstained with
human bias.
Leadership
- We believe our Creator is the Loving God portrayed by Paul.
- We believe our Savior is Jesus Christ,
the firstborn offspring of the Creator.
Spirituality
- We believe in the duality of mankind; an everlasting
soul housed in a physical body.
Baptism
- We believe in Baptism by the Holy Spirit,
not water.
Creation
-
We believe the Creator created Man
in his own image. Man sinned by disobeying God; thereby alienating
himself from his Creator.
Salvation
-
We believe the salvation of
man is wholly a work of God's free grace and is not the work,
in whole or in part, of human works or goodness or religious
ceremony. God imputes His righteousness to those who put their
faith in Christ alone for their salvation, and thereby justified
them in His sight.
-
We believe in the assured salvation
of all from the first moment they trust in Christ as their Savior.
This assurance is not based upon any kind of human merit, but
is produced by the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
